Gallagher took one step at a time as he began to walk down the main staircases of the school on a lazy evening. The school seemed rather quiet this evening an odd occurrence in itself. He had spent a many year wondering the halls of this place, finding their secrets but he still had not found everything there was to know. It was a wonderful day outside; perhaps most of the students were on the grounds enjoying themselves. Either way, the halls were quiet a nice change for the time being.
His yellow eyes began to scan floor as he made his way down. It really seemed that there was no one about. He made sure to step that one invisible step that caught so many unawares. The stairs moaned as they swayed back and forth in their ever-changing patterns. He stood on the steps, just looking at all of the portraits, all chattering away with each other, some feuding, some laughing, while others just slept. A small grin grew upon his old face; this was truly a wonderful place, he just hoped that the students would come to appreciate this little things as much as he did.

As usual, Destiny had spent her free morning wondering around the school, although today she had choosen to stick to main corridors rather than other places of interest. Her curious mind often brought her attention to minor things during her random walk, but she didn't muster up enough enthusiasm to look into anything like she normally would've. The castle proved to be rather boring that day, as most students were taking advantage of the beautiful weather and had gone outside with friends.
Guessing that most Slytherins were accompanying those in the grounds, Destiny was left with no one decent to speak with, and didn't really feel like venturing outside herself, much preferring the deserted corridors and company of those who remained in portraits. Upon reaching the bottom of the Grand Staircase, the blonde made her way up a few flights, avoiding any that choose to move on her arrival, not patient enough to await their return. Reaching a half way point, Destiny raised her head slightly, catching a glimpse of someone not far up from where she was standing. Although she hadn't wanted company, Malfoy was sure it had been an adult rather than another student, and headed towards the figure post haste. Stepping from a staircase as it swivelled left, she realised the man before her was the headmaster - an interesting soul if ever she'd seen one. Deciding that being alone wasn't of all that much importance, she took a step towards him and spoke, her eyes focused on a portrait by his head which seemed to be waving vigourously. "Good evening, Professor

Gallagher was lost in the view and his thoughts as he glanced from one magical canvas to another that he almost overlooked the fact that someone was making their way towards him. With one last look at a very entertaining painting of a knight dueling a dragon, his yellow eyes focused upon the young lady who had just greeted him. The first thought to enter him was how much she looked like her father. Her eyes were different but the hair gave it away, there was no other wizarding family that had hair like the Malfoys. While Gallagher had not yet had the opportunity to speak with Destiny, he knew who she was. After all it was his job to know all the students of the school, however there was always the yearning to know them more than just a line on some parchment.
“Good Evening to you as well Miss Malfoy,” he sid with a slight nod and a smile. “Why are you not on the lawns for on these last summer weekends.”

Pleased that she was not being sent away for disturbing him, Destiny's smiled remained on her face as she listened to his greeting and question. It took her a moment of thought before answering, despite the fact she knew fully why she was not outside. "I thought it would be a good time to explore the school as it is quite empty, and I haven't had much chance throughout the year
" the blonde explained, shrugging as she finished. True as this was, the work that had taken up her time during her year had not stopped her roaming the corridors, but it wouldn't do well to tell her Professor that she had been wasting valuable homework time. Within a normal conversation, Destiny would've simply asked the same question in return, but felt it was none of her business to enquire as to why the headmaster was wondering the corridors. Instead, she fixed her bright blue eyes upon a nearby painting and spoke slowly but surely, " I'm always curious as to what Hogwarts has hidden, aren't you Professor?" It did feel somewhat strange to hold a casual conversation with the elder man, but Destiny couldn't help finding out what he knew. Gallagher came to understand over the years that while some students where merely passing through the halls of Hogwarts as a means to move onward to bigger and better things. Then again, there were always others, like himself, that strived to find out as much as possible and the history of their culture and the school itself. Then again, there were those that only pretended to show interest in such things to only achieve personal gain. He had been at this school for a very long time he had done almost everything and seen about the same. Nothing much change over the years, the only thing that did was the people and how they pursuit there desires.
“Well Miss Malfoy, I have spent most of my life here at this school, nearly 80 years,” he said in rather deep voice. “So I must say, that while I do not know all the things that deal with this school, I do know more than most.”

Listening silently to what the Headmaster said, Destiny turned her full attention to him, almost drinking up every word he said. She had spent many a day and night roaming the corridors in the school, and managing to find nothing extraordinary so far, and she now hoped that the wiser man would be able to tell her something, or at least hint to something amazing. "I did expect you would,
" the Slytherin smiled as sweetly as she could manage, " and I have often wondered how you managed to discover it all in the first place, as I've asked many Ghost's, and even portraits, but none seem to know anything worth telling me of." She finished, tipping her head curiously. There was no doubt in the young Malfoy's mind that Professor Gallagher was not about to spill out the school's greatest secrets to a mere student, but she had every intention of finding something out that would satisfy her wandering mind if only for a short while. Taking a moment to gaze around the staircase, Destiny wandered if any of the larger pictures bore entrances to secret passageways, but wiped the thought from her mind to look back at the man before her.
