Albus was so bored. There didn't seem a thing to do at the castle. Well, there was always something to do, but nothing fun to do. A person could always study, but that wasn't something Al liked doing. In fact, since school began, he hadn't opened a book. There really was no point to it.
He wanted to pull a prank, but he couldn't think of a good one to pull. He seemed to have pulled them all in his first five years. Yet, he knew there had to be one that he hadn't pulled. He wondered if his uncles ever had trouble deciding on what prank to pull. They were Al's heroes and not because they fought the battle of hogwarts. They were his heroes for being pranksters at school. He always thought about what they would do to give him ideas.
He suddenly thought of one. He grinned mischievously to himself and then got everything he needed and ran down to the great hall to set it up. After making sure the coast was clear, Severus took one of the buckets and poured red paint into it and then poured gold into the other one. Using his wand, he fixed them atop the door.
He was stuck in the great hall now until someone came and the paint poured on them. If he tried to leave, his prank would backfire. He would end up with the paint all over him for a week. He looked around the hall for a good hiding spot. He most definitely wasn't just going to stand there in front of the door like an idiot. He noted the door behind the staff table and ran over to it and hid behind it, leaving the door open a crack, so he could watch his prank unfold.
It really shouldn't take too long. It was almost dinner and people will be pouring in to eat. It would be dinner and a show for him, minus the dinner. Unless if he wanted to be caught, he would be forced to stay where he was until after dinner. That didn't bother him much. He could always sneak into the kitchens later for food.
He got down on his knees and waited patiently for someone to open the door.
